Prawns Fry

A step-by-step guide to making delicious prawn fry:

Prawn Fry Recipe

Ingredients you'll need:

- Fresh prawns, peeled and deveined

- 1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)

- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste

- Salt, to taste

- 1 tablespoon lemon juice

- 2-3 tablespoons cooking oil (preferably coconut oil)

- Curry leaves, for garnish

- Chopped cilantro (coriander leaves), for garnish

Step 1: Prepare the Prawns

1. Clean the prawns by removing the shell, tail, and deveining them.

2. Rinse the prawns thoroughly under cold water and drain.

Step 2: Marinate the Prawns

1. In a bowl, mix red chili powder, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste, salt, and lemon juice to form a marinade.

2. Add the cleaned prawns to the marinade and coat them well. Let them marinate for about 15-30 minutes.

Step 3: Heat Oil

1. Heat cooking oil (preferably coconut oil) in a pan over medium-high heat.

Step 4: Fry the Prawns

1. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated prawns to the pan in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding the pan.

2. Let the prawns cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink and opaque.

3. Flip the prawns and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes on the other side until fully cooked. Be careful not to overcook them, as prawns can become rubbery.

Step 5: Garnish and Serve

1. Once the prawns are cooked and have a nice color, remove them from the pan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.

2. Garnish the prawns with curry leaves and chopped cilantro.

Step 6: Serve

1. Your prawn fry is ready to be served as an appetizer or a side dish.

2. Serve the prawns hot with slices of lemon for an extra burst of flavor.

Step 7: Enjoy!

1. Enjoy the flavorful and succulent prawn fry as a delicious seafood dish.
