A step-by-step guide on how to make a classic cup of tea:


Classic Tea Recipe


Ingredients you'll need:


- Water

- Tea leaves (black, green, herbal, etc.)

- Sugar (optional)

- Milk (optional)


Step 1: Boil Water

1. Measure the amount of water you need for the number of cups of tea you want to make.

2. Place the water in a kettle or a pot and bring it to a rolling boil. Make sure the water is fresh and clean.


Step 2: Warm the Teapot

1. If you're using a teapot, pour a little hot water into it to warm it up. This helps maintain the temperature of the tea while steeping.


Step 3: Add Tea Leaves

1. For each cup of tea, measure about 1 teaspoon of loose tea leaves into the teapot or tea infuser. Adjust the amount according to your taste preferences and the strength of the tea.


Step 4: Pour Hot Water

1. Once the water has boiled, pour it over the tea leaves in the teapot or cup.

2. Allow the tea to steep. The steeping time varies depending on the type of tea: 

   - Black tea: 3-5 minutes

   - Green tea: 1-3 minutes

   - Herbal tea: 5-7 minutes (or as per the instructions on the package)


Step 5: Add Milk and Sugar (Optional)

1. If you like your tea with milk, you can add a splash of milk to your cup or teapot. The amount depends on your preference.

2. Add sugar to taste, if desired. Start with a small amount and adjust according to your sweetness preference.


Step 6: Strain and Serve

1. If using loose tea leaves, strain the tea into your cup using a tea strainer.

2. If you're using tea bags, simply remove the tea bag from the cup.

3. Your tea is now ready to be enjoyed!
