Apple Salad



Apple Salad Recipe:


Ingredients:


For the Salad:

- 3 medium-sized apples (a mix of sweet and tart varieties)

- 1 cup celery, thinly sliced

- 1 cup grapes, halved

- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

- 1/2 cup raisins or dried cranberries (optional)

- Fresh lemon juice


For the Dressing:

- 1/4 cup mayonnaise

- 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt or sour cream

- 1 tablespoon honey

- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- Pinch of salt


Instructions:


1. Prepare the Apples:

   - Core and dice the apples into bite-sized pieces. To prevent browning, toss the apples with fresh lemon juice.


2. Assemble the Salad:

   - In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced apples, sliced celery, halved grapes, chopped walnuts, and raisins or dried cranberries if using.


3. Make the Dressing:

   - In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Greek yogurt or sour cream, honey, Dijon mustard, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Adjust sweetness and salt to taste.


4. Combine Salad and Dressing:

   - Pour the dressing over the apple mixture. Gently toss until all ingredients are well coated with the dressing.


5. Chill:

   - Cover the bowl and refrigerate the apple salad for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the salad to chill.


6. Serve:

   - Before serving, give the salad a gentle toss. Adjust the sweetness or add more cinnamon if desired.


7. Garnish (Optional):

   - Garnish with additional chopped walnuts or a sprinkle of cinnamon before serving.
