Coleslaw

Coleslaw Recipe:

Ingredients:

For the Coleslaw:

- 1 small cabbage, finely shredded

- 2 carrots, grated

- 1 small onion, finely chopped (optional)

- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

For the Dressing:

- 1/2 cup mayonnaise

- 2 tablespoons sour cream

- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

- 2 tablespoons sugar

- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Prepare Vegetables:

   - Finely shred the cabbage, grate the carrots, and chop the onion and parsley (if using). Place them in a large mixing bowl.

2. Make Dressing:

   - In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, apple cider vinegar, sugar, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Adjust the sweetness and acidity according to your taste.

3. Combine:

   - Pour the dressing over the shredded vegetables. Toss everything together until the vegetables are evenly coated with the dressing.

4. Chill:

   - Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the coleslaw for at least 1-2 hours. Chilling allows the flavors to meld and enhances the overall taste.

5. Serve:

   - Before serving, give the coleslaw a good toss to make sure the dressing is evenly distributed.

6. Garnish (Optional):

   - Garnish with additional chopped parsley if desired.

7. Adjust Seasoning:

   - Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. Add more salt, pepper, or a splash of vinegar according to your preference.

8. Enjoy:

   - Serve the coleslaw as a refreshing side dish with burgers, sandwiches, grilled meats, or any meal of your choice.

Note:

- Feel free to customize your coleslaw by adding extras like raisins, sliced apples, or nuts for added texture and flavor.

- Adjust the thickness of the dressing by adding more mayonnaise or sour cream, depending on your preference.

Coleslaw is a classic side dish with a perfect balance of creaminess, sweetness, and tanginess. It's a versatile accompaniment that complements a variety of dishes.
